Black Claimed

Her husband hired the trainer. He had no idea what he was handing her.

Six weeks of private sessions. Six weeks of his hands correcting her form, his attention so focused it borders on something she refuses to name. Isaiah Webb is a man who notices everything — including the way his married client has stopped looking away when he steps in close.

Paige tells herself it’s professional. She’s an interior designer. She reads spaces, assesses load-bearing walls, measures what a room can hold. She is not the kind of woman who loses track of herself in a gym after hours.

She is also not leaving.

What starts as tension becomes claim. Session by session, the careful architecture Paige has built around her marriage develops cracks she stops trying to repair — while at home, her husband pours her coffee and asks how the workouts are going, none the wiser. And when Isaiah finally says the word out loud, she understands it isn’t a line. It’s a fact he arrived at the same way she did: slowly, and without apology.

Her husband thought he was giving her something structured. He gave her to Isaiah Webb.
